Though much of my Pyrex comes from thrift stores, random garage sales are another source. On a weekend trip to Gettysburg in 2006, I found myself at a relatively rural garage sale. The red casserole dish and four ramekins were mine for 1 dollar! Suspect this set dates from the 1950s.

I've been looking for that set!!! I think I saw one once, with only three bowls, and they wanted like $25 or something for it. Bleh. The LEAST I've paid for Pyrex here in California was $1, and that was for one refrigerator dish, I think. I've gotten a mixing bowl for $1.95, but that's it! Darn prices.
I would love the square sets in both red and aqua!! :)
I was quite sad to come to the end of the posts since discovering the blog today. Thanks for the nice pictures!
